I sold a pristine mint condition Yamaha XS6 keyboard on EBay and shipped it from UPSSTORE #6166 to customer in Texas. When it arrived it was damaged. Buyer said the packing was poorly done. UPS saw the damage item and sent it back to UPSSTORE#6166 even though the buyer wanted to get it fixed in Texas with an authorized Yamaha Repair Shop. When the item arrived back in New York the UPSSTORE #6166 told me she had a check made out for me for $500.00 to send to buyer in Texas and was willing to send keyboard back to Texas for repair. I told her I would contact the buyer and let him know what was going on.

Needless to say the buyer was not ready to take that option, reason being if the repair cost more than $500.00 he would have to pay out of his own pocket the difference. When I told the UPSSTORE manager she flipped the whole story around and said she would need a invoice from the Yamaha Repair shop in Texas with an estimated cost of repair, without them even seeing the damage. She was unwilling to send the item back to Texas. The UPPSTORE #6166 manager then took pictures of the damage with a bright florescent light over the damage area so you could not see the damage properly. The manager at this point tried to blame the buyer for the damage. But the buyer had already paid me in full thru PayPal, plus he had a witness at his home when he received the Keyboard damaged.

UPSSTORE manager would not open the box which had the keyboard in it so I could see the physical external damage done in transport by UPS. First of all the UPSSTORE CORP.Office told me that they did not have on record a $500.00 check made out to me for repair. Then they did not have on record that the UPSSTORE packed my item which was the Yamaha XS6 keyboard. I put a declared value of $2,000.00 on my item. On the original invoice, which I made a copy of for the UPSSTORE#6166 the value of the keyboard $2,799.00. I paid $2,166.42 for it and only used it maybe 8 times in home use.

The plastic on the window of the keyboard was never removed, that's how new it was. It was in mint condition when I left it with the UPS STORE to pack . I have the receipts for shipping and packing. UPS and the UPS Store asked me for documents concerning EBay transaction,iv'e sent them and PayPal transaction proof. They have a copy of my purchase invoice also. Neither UPS or the UPS Store has contacted me about this claim. I have called them several times and they keep giving me the runaround on my claim. They have my Yamaha keyboard and I have nothing, because PayPal has paid the buyer and I am in the red with PayPal.

The Company is treating me as though I am to blame for the damage that was done in transport. They are giving me the runaround and they have my item that I trusted them with to ship out. I paid $148.99 to have that keyboard packed and shipped and UPS, and the Ups store manager it seems are trying to avoid  Claim Payment. I demand answers and I want my money from the claim. They damaged the item and do not want to take responsibility for the damage that was done through transport and poor packing.

I think they are trying to keep the item without paying me. The buyer received the item on NOV. 11th and called me Nov.12th. I responded Nov.12th to UPS. they sent an investigator on the 13th and it was determined that the damage was done in transport. It is the end of the month and I have no results as far as a claim, no calls nothing. My next step is court and they will have to pay a lot more than $2,000.00.
