USGoldBuyers, Inc. They refused to return my gold bar after I was unhappy with there assay, they lied about there refining process. Manhattan New York
Let me first tell you I have bought and sold gold since 1980, and understand the payment structure percentages etc. and have used many refiners.
As a dealer I went in to sell them gold and silver just to satisfy my curiosity about how they supposedly payed more than the refiner I had been using for many years.
In a conversation with the manager who was inspecting my gold I found he was always trying to tell me how big the company was and how he spent millions each day buying gold so he knew more than me and if I were happy with my refiner why was I selling him my gold.
He also made references to how much people like me pay and I bluntly told him he did not know me so how could he make such rash remarks.
At the end of the transaction I was told Grannys ( thats a reference to old ladys) sold him more gold than I brought him, I sold him 271.5 pennyweights thats 13.55 troy ounces.
As he tested my gold he made remarks on how most gold is under karat and made in the back of jewelry stores.
130 pennyweights of the gold I gave him was from a Tiffany 18k dresser set made in the 1930's he made remarks that even the Tiffany gold could be under carat.
He did find that two victorian braclets that I had not filed into were good gold filled then he proceeded to act like the nasty person he really is and kept trying to provoke me.
I was under the impression that I would be paid 98% the website states paid up to 98.5 % so I figured least he would pay was 97% which I was getting at my refiner.
He nor his worker ever discussed a percentage with me.
I was told they would melt the gold and an independant company does the assay thats why there is a $35 charge.
The assay I was told would take approx. 90 minutes.
When I came back to get paid and saw the assay it was clear to me I was taken.
If I had sold my gold and silver at my refiner on the stone without assay I would have been paid almost $500 more.
I asked for my bar of gold and was told it was chemically refined already but they were willing to give me pure gold in return.
In all my years of selling gold, no refiner has ever told me I could not have my bar of gold back when I was not happy with the assay.
They then proceeded to tell me it was chemically refined so which was it! melted or chemically refined.
Its clear to me they could not return my gold or I could prove they were thieves.
They are thieves no question about it, if you read the website you are told your merchandise can be retrived so what makes my transaction any different from others.
There is a you tube T.V. news video thats shows newscasters selling them gold but doing a lousy job never is there any mention of how much was paid per pennyweight.

Dear " gold dealer" I completely understand that your business cant compete with USGOLDBUYERS so slander seems to be the path you have chosen. My family as many families in the diamond district have been doing business with USGOLDBUYERS for over 15 years and they never gave us or anyone any doubt or concern in regards to gold count or price they paid. Employees and management are cordial, helpful and eager to assist if you have a oz or a lbs of gold. This country is built on competitive markets to be fair to the consumer so build your business and choose not to slander others.

BGross claims he has been buying gold since 1980, but yet he attempted to pass off gold filled jewelry. BGross had every opportunity not to sell to US Gold Buyers, Inc. but yet he insisted. Bgross came representing himself as an expert in gold buying and insisted that USGB purchase his bits and piece of mixed metals by testing with stone. Obviously hoping for the Company to make a mistake and pay him more than he was entitled to. BGross claims that he used several refiners, evidently not one of them satisfied him yet. Otherwise he would have established a relationship as many of our clients have. BGross assumed that he was getting paid on a 98% payout without asking or even reading the website. If he asked or read the payout schedule on our website, he would clearly see that he qualifies for a 96%. US Gold Buyers, Inc. is a reputable refiner in the heart of the Diamond District. We cater to manufacturers, pawn shops, jewelry stores, dental labs,etc. For decades, many of our customers bring their bars pre-melted and pre-assayed. Our assay results are 100% accurate 100% of the times. OTHER THAN BGross NO ONE EVER HAD ANY ISSUES REGARDING OUR INTEGRITY. BGross had no intention of using US Gold Buyers, Inc. as a refining facility. His motive was to defraud the Company by attempting to sell what was not gold. US Gold Buyers, Inc. is not in business of melting scrap gold and converting into bars. Bgross clearly knew as a professional in the business that once his scrap gold is melted the process is irreversible. US Gold Buyers, Inc. made every attempt to accomodate Bgross, but he kept on being rude, and arrogant. USGB, Inc. made the mistake of giving BGross the benefit of a doubt and accepting his business rather than asking him to leave the premises.
