This report is being made in response to transgressions being made by Utopia Watergardens towards its employees.

The past two payroll checks have been days late being written and the one previous to that was returned to the employees because it bouced. Many of the employee rely on dependable income to make ends meat. When the funds come back unavaiable this makes it hard.

The worst thing that has happened is that when one employee comfronted the owner and signer of the checks he began to scream and yell like an idiot.

Issuses have been resolved and as with every story there are two sides as you see here. Money was returned and paychecks written. Yes, Utopia is a small business in the community and it is businesses like this that keep the community a float. Take this information as it is but it is all the truth on both sides of past happenings.

I am the owners wife and book keeper at Utopia Watergardens, and I definately have some inside information. I would firt likie to address the issue of the bounced check. Yes, it did bounce and for that we are terribly sorry and there is no excuse for that. However, there was a mistake made at the company that handles our credit card deposits, and a very large sum of money that was supposed to be in our account was not. We made good on the check within the week in cash and took care of all the fees and apologized. The last issue I would like to address is the yelling like an idiot comment. We recieved a phone call on a Saturday Morning and on the other end was a belligerent employee giving my husband a lecture on responsibility and then she proceeded to get loud and irate and after several attempts to apologize yet again he finally gave her a piece of his mind and who can blame him for that. And I am sure when she was teklling her husband the story she left that out and so here we are on a web site having our good name slandered. I would like to add that our employees are paid on time, and, we are a very small business and this is the one and only occasion this has happened in the six years we have been in business.
