Beware of Veronica Obeng !!!

Veronica or Veronika as she likes it spelt Obeng began renting my house in Sherman Oaks in October 2016. She and her now Ex husband were going through a divorce and my property was large enough to house her, her sister/ husband, brother, sister and all her kids. After failing the credit check with several other past evictions and financial irresponsibility, I had asked her for a cosigner/ guarantor. With both siblings, Natasha Mihon Clayborne and her brother Claude Lina Clayborne both also failing in the financials and credit ratings, she was able to secure her ex husband as a guarantor.

Veronica Obeng was served and nearly evicted after living in the unit for three (3) months without paying a single cent in rent! The monthly rent is $5,400.

Veronica Obeng gave a series of of bad checks that the bank could 'not locate the accounts'. Veronica also provided a number of checks with insufficient funds that could not be collected. Obeng also offered wire transfers that never took place and faked Fedex mailings that never arrived. Veronika Obeng provided excuse after excuse and 'will pay you tomorrow' and 'feed the poor trip' stories to justify all the 'trouble' with her bad checks and her 'bad' situation while living the big life. She purchased a Rolls Royce, Range Rover and has many adults living in the home and can't pay her rent.

In addition the credit report for Veronica came back with a social security alert with several past evictions in Florida and at 724 Vickibury Ave, Norman, OK, 73071. 

Obeng presented herself as a famous 'entertainer and model' and presents herself as a very naive and sweet individual always very apologetic.

The eviction notice came after 'Final Judgment for Removal of Tenant' was entered by Judge Douglas P. Gayles on January 12, 2017 in Los Angeles, CA for non payment of rent. The judge gave Obeng the final opportunity to pay all the past due rent and she failed to pay the rent to the judge (three months total rent of $16,200 and late fees). She was then served by the Sheriff and given 48 hours to leave the premises. Her Ex Husband found out via his lawyers and my calls of the situation and immediately did all in his power to save the home and his children from being vacated. 

Veronica's exhusband and guarantor, Michael, provided a certified check in the past dues and fees owing sent via his attorney. He made it very clear even from when they initially signed the lease that this property his her sole priority, which she so bragged about a new show she has coming out and won't need him anymore, which i found odd. Michael made the payment and made me feel at ease and it ultimately  enabled Veronica and her tribe stay in the house. Not much has changed as she's behind in her rent again.

I've tried to approch this civally with Ms. Veronica Obeng, but she is very unpredictable and i don't feel we should subject ourselves to the abuse and lies she spews out of defense. 

Shame that such a 'highly paid entertainer and model' can't afford to pay a single cent in rent for the premises she occupied for three months with her kids and siblings until she was evicted by the police and Sheriff only to be 'saved' buy the very person she speaks so poorly of. Had it Not been for Michael, She would've chosen her Rolls Royce and 

Beware of her stories, her checks and a supposed 'artist/model' identity. Ensure you have a valid ID and social security number from her. Make sure she can provide you with a valid ID before doing any business with her and most important...Do not take checks from her. Do not fall for her lies, scams, and her stories..she will rip you off!
