You stated that you had your vehicle serviced one month ago, but the engine quit two days ago. I don't know what kind of car you have but I have never heard of any engine running for one month with no oil or cooling fluid. Unless you had your vehicle parked for a month or the fluids leaked out which you claim you would have noticed I think you should look elsewhere for the cause of your problem. Have you made an enemy lately? Most engines would have given you a problem within approximately ten miles or less, if the fluids had not been added, especially when you consider that you didn't have oil or cooling fluid. And my comment has nothing to do with my being an employee, I don't use the service department myself. Just ask anyone who knows anything about engines.

If you paid by check then you have a record of being in Walmart. When I get my car done at the local walmart (thank goodness that they do know what they are doing), they make two copies one for you and one for their books. Somewhere in the system is the proof you need. You just have to be sneeky about it. If you are married have a teenage girl, some female in your life that can put on the "I just need a copy or my dad, boyfriend ect will kill me if he doesn't have his receipt." You would be surprise how easy somethings are for us females as long as we work it. Good luck. If you paid with money sorry, If you paid with a credit card see if they can help.

You said you lost your receipt from when you had your oil changed. Well, they have a record of it. Have you noticed that when you go into WalMart for service they ask you for your phone number, type it into the coumputer, then ask your if it is make and model of car and then your name. They have a record of exactly when you were there and what was done (or suppose to be done). Also they put a sticker on your windsheild for a reminder of when you need your next oil change. I also take my car to WalMart for service. Mostly for the convience. I do get strange looks from the service techs when I lift my hood on my car after they have serviced it and check my oil, water, windsheild wiper fluid ect. I had to laugh one time when they listed they had filled my wiper fluid in my old 70 Ply because the wiper fluid well has had a big hole in the bottom of it for the last 10 years. I brought this to the attention of the service manager. He appologized, and said the tech apparently checked it off by mistake. I have know several people that have had the same problem as you and WalMart did pay to replace/rebuild their engines. Don't give up so easily.
