I ordered a Walkabelly harness for my dog.  He weighs over 100 pounds and had to have kneee surger on both rear legs. I am extremely dissappointed with both the product and the customer service.  I spoke to them before ordering to explain that my dog was a difficult fit and I was concerned and didn't want to be stuck purchasing a product that didn't work for me.  I was reassured that returns were easy as long as the product was unused.  I recieved it, tried it on my dog one time and knew immediately it would not work.  In spite of paying an extra $25 dollars for a ridiculously shoddy and small chest strap, the harness just slid up my dog's body and was completely useless.  After that one try on and walk attempt, I repacked the harness and called the company. I was assured I could return the product.  My return was rejected because they claim the product was used.  This is absolutely absurd.  The velcro sits on the fake lambs wool and collects white particles from the wool.  It was like this when I received it.  My dog is a red brindle...not a white lamb.  When I called to speak to them about this, Kathy was extremely rude and hung up on me. Her attitude was defensive and I just called to get to the bottom of the issue.  If the harness was dirty, then they sent it to me that way, because we couldn't have dirtied it after one try on. My dog is a clean and lives inside the house.  They are pretending the harness has been used so they can avoid sending me a legitimate refund.  Its a shame, I really thought I had found good small company that I could rely on and trust, but they proved to me that they don't deserve my business or my trust.

Let me be more clear.  When I ordered it, I got an ok to try it on from the seller.  She knew that in order to be certain it would work, it had to be tried on. I mentioned in my report that the dog was difficult to fit and I was honest and clear about it from the start.  The agreement from the beginning was that I would have to try it.  It isn't a product that can be purchased and then not opened or tried on.  It that were the case, why have any refunds at all?  One of their policies is they accept returns on products that don't work for you.  So, how on earth do you determine what works if you can't open the package or try it out? It wasn't in any special packing or bag.  When I opened the USPS envelope, then the product was opened. So, by your superior logic, the only returns that would be legitimate is that if I received the package and then through some amazing psychic awareness, I returned it unopened.  The problem is, they don't accept returns unless they don't fit or don't work, so I couldn't just send it back unopened.  So, based on my experience, this is a rip off.  The harness isn't dirty or damaged and by their own standards, the return should be accepted.

By "used", they mean AT ALL!!. By your own post you claim you opened it and tried it on your dog. Well that makes it used!! Had you NOT opened it, then you could have gotten a refund. But it clear by your own words that the product WAS NOT BRAND NEW when you sent it back. This means that they wont give you a refund. You must be a female because ONLY female logic would dismiss the one use as a use. Once you opened the product you lost ANY refund. Yes yes, per your logic, "Oh but I had to try it on him to see if it worked" that is STILL a use.

So this is NOT a scam by this company. This is yet another consumer who fails to recognize that even trying it on is a use. One that FAILED to even acknowledge the fact that they were in the wrong and expressed this in their own words. They admitted to the fact that THEY KNEW it was used but still tried to get a refund.
