Walker Roofing Inc Jeff Walker, Gary Vance his salesman at the time lied, gouged me when he found out what I was getting from my insurance co. Work was inferior compared to other roofing companies. Shingle sticking up and where it's supposed to be level it's not, crooked just like Gary and his boss Jeff Walker. If you check out there reports with the BBB you will see most are very bad. The BBB gave them an F as a rating. Daytona Beach Florida
Gary Vance I have been in business for over 40 years and I am pretty careful when doing business transactions. Gary was someone that i met at a spiritual based organization. He claimed to be the best in roofing and he wanted to be friends. I was just settling with my home insurance on my roof which was damaged by a couple of hurricanes.
He promised the best job at a better price than anyone. Since he was a friend and as conmen usually do he gained my trust. He gave me a price of $24,500.00 but since I was a friend he would only charge me $23,000.00 but I needed to move fast for he wanted to supervise the job. He coerced me to get the job started by giving a deposit on my AE card for $5,750.00. Against my better judgement I did only because he was a friend.
They didn't do such a great job with shingles that were crooked. Gary wasn't anywhere around and i later found out that he stood around just to collect the money that he overcharged. As far as the crookedness I was told that the heat from the sun would straiten them out and it has been through the Fla. Summer and that has not happened.
So now I have paid almost double for my new roof and they have refused to give me satisfaction for a poor looking roof that I paid almost 50% more for. I bought another home to flip that needed a roof: yes it is about almost half the size of the home that i live in but I paid a roofer just under $5,000.00. Walker roofing robbed me without using a gun.
A couple of days before the last hurricane was supposed to hit the coast of Florida Gary was witnessed by me saying that this was going to be great and that it would make him a rich man. Smiling and laughing about how he was going to be rich and when asked, what about the possibility of loss human life he just shrugged laughed and said that that wasn't his problem.
I knew than that he was ruthless, uncaring and would screw anyone for the almighty dollar. They work in tandem, him and his boss/ Jeff Walker. Gouged me by charging me an extra $6,000.00 and when I found our and contacted owner Jeff Walker he said that he charged that much extra was because of the hurricanes of a year ago. Plus his undocumented get paid more than others. Work isn't straight or level.
