Honestly it sounds like they were following the law. Though I am not sure how the law relates to M-Rated in that state.
This could have been avoided had the underage sister simply realized she couldn't buy the game and told you that you would have to come back and do it from the start. She could have told you the game. In fact I am trying to figure out why you can't seem to know the title of this game. How on earth do you handle owning a retail store if you can not memorize the name of a game even for a few minutes?
I was a retail manager for years and honestly most customers who make it to the level of needing a manager are wrong. The question is always is it cheaper and faster to just give them what they want.
I also would love to know more about what happened when the roles were reversed. Because honestly I think she choose to follow the letter of the law in this case for two reasons. 1. You couldn't even name the game(even the adults buying beer for kids know which brand to buy). 2. Because you did something similar to her.
Honestly I am just surprised you own a retail store. This sounds like the kind of complaint that comes from a person who has never worked retail.

The customer is not always right. That's one of the biggest myths in retail.

Let's simplify this.
1. An underaged person tried to purchase a "Rated M" game, which can't be sold to minors.
2. Walmart refused to sell it to her.
3. You come back and try to pay for the game in her stead. The Walmart employee refused to sell it to you either.
Frankly, I would've done the same thing. The Walmart employee is assuming you're trying to buy the game for the underage sister. (I can see why.)
You sound like those people that get all huffy when stores won't let minors pay for their cigarettes.
P.S. Spell check; use it.

Well, Kathy and i had an issue in my shop i own and she caused a distubance and left. She apparently still has a problem with me so as she approached me with the game with a smerk on her face the whole time.
- Why does it seem that you don't follow the same "the customer is always right". After all if you did, you would have followed that and agreed to what ever she asked for..right? If that happened then there should be no reason why you and her had an "issue" and she needed to cause a disturbance.
Oh and by the way, if you really have your own shop or ever worked in retail you know that the customer is NOT always right.
