WalMart penalty box rule Rapid City South Dakota
I have come to the conclusion,that WalMart is a very dangerous entity. It has no boundries on how far they will go to profit. WalMart is very similar with totalitarian governments practices.
1.)They control vendors with an iron fist(sort of like the military in a controlled nation).
2.)They pay their employees barely enough to survive,but enough to be dependent on them(sort of like a pusher with a junkie).
3.)They ruin small towns which have thrived with mom and pop businesses,and the ambiance of smalltowns USA(sorta like Germany invading Poland).
4.)They give the image they are family orientated yet they allow sweatshop operations,destruction of jobs in the United States,making families work on Thanksgiving(how unAmerican is that?).
5.)WalMart has learned from the very best. They have learned to be great magicians, politicians, tyrants. For it takes all three to be able to create a grand illusion of how great they are while in the meantime,they are stealing the mothers milk from her own child.
I work for this disgusting growth of a desease (until today I decided after reading I am not the only one who feels bad), and am very ashamed. I am an American who has put on the uniform as a soldier to protect and defend this great land, and yet I see how my hands have scarred the great flag by letting a entity which mocks the very core of what this great country is about.
We as a nation and people are fair, honest, forgiving, family orientated, give the person who is down a hand up even at the worst of times, believe in keeping our fellow Americans working, even if it means paying a little more at the gas pump, or the local grocery store.
WalMart is none of these, think about this for a moment before you go shopping at WalMart, make a mental note on how much merchandise you see is made in a foreign land? Also think about the great savings to you, at what cost??
Eventually all our work will go somewhere else so we can save a few bucks while WalMart makes a fortune (trust me the lower associates do not make hardly anything).
Its hard to buy even the most discounted item when you dont have the finances because the factory or business you used to work at went belly up because they couldn't compete with WalMart or became a vendor, and farmed their work overseas to compete.
Just remember, WalMart has a win win situation as long as they keep the common person comfortably numb. Businesses are the worst totalitarian tyrants, much worst then Stalins, Hitlers. etc. because companies like WalMart use discounts like bait to catch fish.

I am losing my job because of Walmart

I agree fully. I work for a company called Midwest Metal Products based in Indiana. The Midwest Homes For Pets division (which makes wire cages for dogs) is being downsized, and is expected to lose between 50-70 jobs within the next 5 months. Walmart told them they don't want anything made by us because it's too expensive, and now we're processing the first trial orders of chinese cages, that will go direct to Walmart's warehouses when they become a regular item. Since Midwest now has Walmart, they'll tell the rest of their customers to buy Chinese or go sit on it and spin. So I get to lose my job, so that the Walmart shopper can save $5 on a d**n dog cage. "Bring it home to the USA", Comrade.

John, You said what I have been thinking for years but never was able to put those thought into words. My fear and loathing of Wal-Mart is very strong, however, I could never quite explain to my Republican friends WHY I felt the way I did. They always say, "It is their RIGHT to make as much money as they want" and "Wal-Mart provides jobs" - I want to THANK YOU for you post.
