Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

It began with a free WalMart gift card and Gasoline Voucher as an introduction to Value Plus with no strings attached according to the agent.  I'd done an online survey, yet didn't recall applying to this company for anything.  I told the agent that I didn't give my credit information over the phone.  He told me they didn't need it since they already had it from an online survey I'd recently done.

I allowed myself to get talked into a trial period with a handling fee of $1.95 charged to my debit card and the assurance that a gift card and gas voucher would be arriving in a few days.  The $1.95 was charged to my acct twice on 12/11/09 and hadn't even received the gift card or gas voucher before my account was debited for $24.95 twice on 12/24/09.  What I did receive was two statements with Online website info where I had to register as a member in order to claim their bogus gift card/voucher.  The membership service was for WC Funsource and WC Value Plus, yet I only recall hearing Value Plus as the only company the trial period was for so who knows how many of their subsidieraries my info has been given to.

I tried to call when the charges first appeared on my bank statement, but I couldn't get through because they required a suscriber number so there was no way I could've cancelled the membership before the trial period was over.  I went to the site www.programstop.com to cancel the membership and request a refund, but unless you have a suscriber ID it probably won't go through.  I am going to use every means possible to contact this company and get those charges refunded.  On the back of the statement they sent me the company "Provell, INC" has a disclaimer about it's part in liability for the vendors it alleges to represent.  It also has info on how to contact the company via a post office box by mail. On the FAQ on the website it says you can check on the status of your refund if you requested one good luck because without the suscriber ID you won't get any info.
