hello..., I work for Wendy's in Kentucky and have realized not all people lie but some do, I can't believe someone working at a Wendy's would degrade the reputation of our company. Wendy;s is by far the best hamburger company ever invented. Dave Thomas believed in high standards and we are forced and trained to maintain the standards Mr thomas set forth for us. If you have never read his book "Dave's Way" please do so. Though profit is not a dirty word trying to get something for nothing is just wrong. Though bad reports can harm any company, just make sure you check out the people making the bad reports against us. the chili incident is just one of many false reports people file to get rich quick off a company that just want's to provide a friendly place to work and a relaxing enjoyable place to eat. Trust is a two way street we trust you are honest enough to eat here without trying s**t and we provide you with trust is the ingredients and quality of our products. thank you for your time. Wendy' Quality is Job One!

I have read your report and I hope that you get something because that is just horrible. I am writing to let you know that in your statement you attack all Wendy's and that isn't fair. All fast food buisness's have their own problems, yes but not all Wendy's are run by the same company. There ar private owners and there is franchise owners and corporate. Some are run horrible yes but there is some who do their best to satisfy their customers or guests which is what my company does. I will not name them because I don't know if They would appericate it but it isn't the same company that you are dealing with. I am further south. I am really sorry for what happened to you and your wife. I wish you had been further south and came to my husbands Wendy's (he's general manager) and mine it is rated in our area in the top. We are currently striving for Dave's way which is the highest recognition. Please I am just asking that you think about this the next time you put down all the Wendy's. Not all Wendy's are bad. And as for the other guy who said that employees don't flip burgers for 20 years. Easiest job to do and the pay is more than people realize.

The story didn't mention if the condom was new or 'used'. Either way it was definitely a choking hazard, even to an adult. If it was 'used' the other health consequences could be even more hazardous. You have to realize that restaurants get fraudulent tainted food claims quite often so naturally they're suspicious when they do come in. Their insurance companies also realize that fast foods aren't the cleanest operations in the world which explains their quick settlement offer. With your situation I would have recommended going straight to the police, no calls to Wendys. They would then have been able to process the evidence and taken a formal report. Who knows, they may have been working on a similar case a while back and needed another complaint to get to the bottom of it. Once the police were involved Wendys would have taken you VERY seriously. It's unlikely scam artists would involve the police on their own. The police would have taken it seriously and the news media would have had a field day with it. If the police had made an arrest you would have had a very solid lawsuit against Wendys. Also, I find it impossible to believe that anyone would work for Wendys for 20 years flipping burgers.

i was reading your report and that is discusting. there was also another report on the same incident from an ex-employee who witnessed the placement of the condom. maybe if you could contact that person he/she would be able to help you prove your case. i guess the insurance company doesnt realize how fatal this incident could have been. good luck and i sure hope your wife didnt contract any diseases or anything. i dont think i will ever eat fast food again! former wendys eater from pa

Ok, since my last report the company has expressed a interest to resolve this matter. However they want to give me $ 250.00 not to discuss this matter. That offer came from Michael Bray with GAB Robins 1-800-646-6446 x 273. I have spoken with an attorney over this matter and he wants to proceed with litigation and the chances of me doing that are good, at first I thought NO don't do that. But inlight of the things that have taken place over the last few days, I will not hesitate to do so. Now get this when this first happened the manager Marsha told me that this store had a complex video system and that she would see who put the condom in the food. After a few days and no calls I called and spoke to David Breener the store manager. He told me that he looked at the video tape and it did not show anyone put anything in the food. He also stated that all employee's denied that it had happened. The next day I spoke with Keith Baigliey 407-645-4811 and he confirmed this information, that the video tape did not show anything like that. So I spoke with an attorney and he asked me to see if they would let me see a copy of the video tape. Upon my request Mr. Baigliey said " There is no video tape, and that the video was set on a wrong channel". I asked him why himself and Mr. Brenner lied to me and he did not have a comment. But he did tell me that the company wants to do the right thing and he would help me. So, when I call him today he tells me that he will let his insurance company deal with this.
Ok, i called the insurance company and spoke to Michael Bray of GAB Robins and he was very rude to me and said that the investigation they had done did not prove anything. He mentioned the video tape and said that if the video tape was destroyed it would not matter. He also stated that me and my wife put the condom in the chicken sandwhich our self and then went on to offer $250.00 to settle this matter. I told him how my wife would have to have testing to make sure that she did not get any thing from this and he denied that he would pay for any testing and had the nerve to tell me that he would sue me for slander. I don't report anything that is not true, so do what you have to do,SIR. I guess i should have mentioned that I have family in the insurance business, I know the tatics they use. But for him to tell me that me and my wife did this to get money is crazy. Maybe he would do something of this nature as he said he could do, but we would never do that. I own my own business;employment Company and I intend to pay my employee's to stand in front of the store on the weekends with signs telling what happened. This is to make the public aware of these conditions and if it causes Wendy's some bad media coverage and downfall in revenue, that is no one's fault but there own!!! If you want to join in in this email me or wait until i post the date and time of this event. Also, feel free to call, fax or write the companies envolved in this matter, your help will be very helpful.....Thank you!!!
Just added, I spoke with Sandy at a main office and she was going to call and try and get something done.....I don't have high hopes, but anything could happen...all we want is what is fair. I will updated soon!!!
