Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I signed a contract with this moving company White Gloves Relocation, Inc. located in Naperville IL. 60564 to move my things between states. I signed a contract for 2400Lbs at a cost of $1,200.37and paid a deposit.

On the day of the move, one person showed up and asked that I pay another deposit because the person with whom I signed the contract was a broker and had not informed them of any payment. He also declared that the things would weigh more than 2400Lbs and insisted that I sign another contract which I refused. I asked to speak with Lee Williams the person I had negotiated the deal with but he was no longer available to speak with me on the phone, instead they put me through to someone else (the operations person) who claimed ignorance of the contract. Lee did not show up again to answer my calls or clarify the situation in-spite of multiple attempts to reach him. He did show up however, to increase my bill and collect the increased fee.

A few days after my things were shipped I received an e-mail informing me that my things weighed twice as much and I had to pay three times the agreed sum.  I demanded that we have an independent weighing but they refused and threatened to keep my things until I pay by credit card and before delivery which were not the agreed terms. I paid, my things arrived 5 days late and as soon as they arrived, the movers demanded that I sign another contract, and pay an additional $500 plus more for the steps. I refused to pay, there was a commotion and the police arrived upon which a friend gave them $75.

They broke my plates and glasses and lost screws to beds, drawers, shelves etc. and did not place my things in the assigned places  There are several complaints of a similar nature on the internet against this company and its operators. I could have avoided an expensive and disagreable move if I done due diligence on them.

There were several tell tale signs at the very beginning which I ignored. For example, they were anxious to give me an estimate without seeing my things, their truck had no logo, only one mover showed up and and everyone I came in contact with asked me for a deposit which I had already payed by credit card to Lee and most telling Lee disappeared as soon as I had paid the deposit and did not show up again until I was forced to pay three times the original sum to recover my things.

Mine was a case of ignorance and naivete, don't make the same mistake. Inform yourself against others like this bunch. People like this should not be in business, they are callous, cold blooded and don't care if they ruin you financially.  They should not be in business.

The faces of this scam are Lee Williams and Tracie Terman. www.whitegloverelo.com
