Willow Way Apartments, Katy Ledford Rip-off Discriminating Evil Landlords College Park Georgia
My boyfriend moved to Willow Way Apartments in May of 2002. By July 2002, he had to move.
It all began when he wanted to take our daughter swimming in the complex. He hadn't obtained a pool pass yet, so he tried to get one from the leasing office, but they were closing just as he arrived. The manager told him to come back tomorrow. I must admit he is kind of hard headed, so he went to the pool anyway without the pass. The manager saw this, went to the pool and demanded he and the children get out since they didn't have a pass.
He made a comment to the effect of "I pay rent so I should be able to swim in this pool". The manager did not like this back talk, so once they got out of the pool, they went swimming somewhere else. I was at the apartment sitting on the balcony when the police came looking for him. I couldn't believe it! She called the police. Ever since, he was harassed. He got notices about noise, people living there that were not on lease (I assume they were talking about me, I spent alot of nights!), and more.
They finally gave him 30 days notice, saying to vacate, after only 2 months. See they had to create a paper trail, but they did it without warrant. Then, we get this humongus bill for $2,000.00! They charged $50.00 for a smudge on the wall.
Those charges will not be paid, but the late fee will. I can not believe that someone like a manager would evict a single father with a child (our daughter was on the lease)because he got smart! I pray for Katy Ledford.
