What can i say?  I put an ad on craigslist about computer repair and was contacted about a job.  they told me that it would take 3 weeks to get paid.  after the 3rd week, they told me that i had to wait till next friday.  next friday morning came and went.  they told me that they would have it to me by sat morning.  i got the check, aaaaannnnddd it bounced.  i contacted Charles and he apoligized and had monica western union me my money that night, which she did.  no problem.  so the next friday comes and i dont recieve a paycheck...so, again i call charles.  he tells me that i would have it saturday morning.  saturday morning came and went, and no paycheck....got it monday morning.  ok, so then i go to the bank, and sure enough, no $ in the account....called charles and he had it taken care of by wednsday.  i worked for the company for 5 months and recieved ONE paycheck on a friday.   the only reason that paycheck came on friday was because they decided, out of the blue, to hold our checks for another week!  so, that paycheck was 2 weeks behind! (in essence they decided to skip a week of paychecks for unknown reasons) so now we are 5 weeks behind on pay!  in the 5 months i worked there, 5 of my paychecks had unsuffient funds and i did not recieve a single one on time.  and about 6 of them were inaccurate (since we get paid per job and its listed on the stub, i would ALWAYS match it up with my records).

at first, my routes sucked.  they were giving me calls on the farthest corners of my territory.  after complaining, the routes get better.  however, NJ is pretty populated, so it was easier to group calls together.  but i can vouch for the people who say that they would get calls far away.  they sent me to another less populated state for a little where i was the only tech.  some of these calls were 3-4 hours away, so i made a deal that would pay me more for these calls.

all in all, i dont think the company is worth working for me.  you recieve $25 per call, but you pay for your own gas.  so if ur territory is far away, it sicks!  on a good day, if your route is easy and all your customers answer and can schedule that day, you may be able to squeeze 7 calls in 10 hours, but that is a PERFECT day.  the work is easy but the paperwork and other extra time add another hour or two unpaid to your workday.  the pros of the job is that you basicaly make your own schedule.  if i didnt want to work, i would tell the customer i was booked and schedule them for another day. and if i wanted to make a few extra bucks, i would run some calls on saturday or sunday.  if u can streamline your opperation (a netbook with internet was a savior) and deal with waiting a little extra time for ur money, the job isnt so bad.  Charles, Alafia, and everyone else are extremely helpful if u can catch them while they are there, otherwise dont expect a callback.
