Have been a long-time customer of worldcom wireless. Received a bill in July '01 stating that I owed $24.10 in late charges, but no late charges were incurred by my records.

Sent numerous requests in with monthly statements asking for an explanation of this, but never received an explanation, only continued requests by the company for me to pay the $24.10 late charges.

Contacted "customer service" several times. After sitting on hold for hours, was reassured each time that the $24.10 would be deleted-no explanation how it showed up in the first place. I requested numerous times with monthly statements that the account be cancelled, but I continued to receive monthly bills-even after the company disconnected my service for not paying the $24.10.

Sat on hold again for hours, finally got through and was reassured that the account would be cancelled. It was not and I continued to receive monthly statements. Sent a certified letter via USPS on 10-15-01 asking that account be closed, but have received 2 monthly bills since then. What a ripoff this company is.
