On 11/11/2009, I ordered one package (25 count) of sugar cane seeds from the website of York Seed Company, (www.yorkseed.com).  As instructed, payment in the amount of $16.04 was sent in the form of a personal check mailed 11/13/2009. This was finally processed 01/06/2010.

Multiple attempts to contact York Seed Company by phone and e-mail were ignored. Only after a web search provided me with an alternate phone # (home) for that address did my calls get answered.  I was told that Dag Lindt was the name of the owner and the person to whom I spoke. He advised me he would be sending my original order as well as an additional 75 seeds for my trouble.  They never arrived after no less than 4 verifications of my PO Box address and two alleged mailings of the product. After my continued calls to the business number were ignored, I again called the home number and it was at that time Mr. Lindt asked for my home address, verified it twice and provided a tracking number (9405 5036 9930 0125 3490 83) for the USPS on 01/28/2010.  The information for that # has not changed since then.  It reads: The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on January 28, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if / when available. No further information is available for this item.   My understanding is that tracking numbers can be provided by printing a label online whether a package is tangible or not.

After contacting the home number again, (after no response from the business #), a very rude and abusive young male, who Dag Lindt had previously identified as his son, said his Father was Thomas Dravecz and another resident at the home number advised the owner of York Seed Company is Cliff Cohen.  I have not heard from any of the individuals since late January, 2010, have not received any merchandise and have not been credited back any funds from the purchase.  I have since read online postings at (((REDACTED))) stating that at least 6 others have had a similar experience with York Seed Company.  This company cannot be allowed to continue fleecing customers without consequences.  DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY.
