After three attempts to resolve this issue I decided to go public.

At first I thought it was the filter so I changed it with the same results...I have three of these things and now I have $35 pitchers to store water in without the filters of course.

The Zero Water filtration system claims to remove all Total Desolved Solids, which it does.  The problem is that this process turns the water to acidic (5.0 pH) after the process.  It goes from tap water 7.0 pH to 5.0 pH after it runs through the filter. I have tried this at home and at my office for the same results.

I am not sure what long term affects this would have on someones system, but I am sure that it cannot do anything to speed up your metabolic rate as your system has to process this 5.0 pH acidic water.

So you remove the metals and other solids only to add acidic water into your system by drinking the product.

I have tried to determine the Health detriments, but have come up empty for all but your system is supposed to be around a pH of 7.0.

All I can say is buyer be ware....

Zero Water refused to resolve issue with Acidic Water

The Zero Water Scientific Representative Andrea said that soda is a lower pH than my 4.7 pH resulting from filtering the water through Zero Water.  Carbon Dioxide from the air seems to play an important part in this TDS filtration process.

Fact is I drink very few sodas each year for health maintenance purposes.  If I wanted to drink pH 4.7 water I would get it from my my Water Ionizer that produces both Alkali and Acidic Water.

The Public Relations guy Mathew stated that it performed as advertised and refused to send a new filter (to see if that would cure problem), but sent me to return said Zero Water pitcher to the store where i bought it.  It is past their reutrn policy to return said item.

At this point I am glad that I could at least bring this low 4.7 pH factor to lite so that everyone buying this could make their own informed decision to buy and drink this kind of Acidic Water.

As for Zero Water..."thanks for playing".  I will go back to my reverse osmosis 7.0 pH filtration system that gives .004 TDS in "pure" water.  Have a nice day...
