Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
back in feb 2009, i was greeted by a zynex med representative in my doctors office. i had damage to my spinal cord, so he was showing me these TENS Units he had.  When I asked him if I had to pay, he assured me my "insurance should take care of everything."  He even said with the insurance I had, I would be "eligible for the nicer unit."  he had me sign a piece of paper that had NO pricing info.

i used this unit several times, but it did not work.  i ended up needing surgery.  i stuck the thing in my closet and forgot about it.

fast forward almost a year later....this company is trying to collect $4000 from me for this cheaply made unit.  when i called to let them know that pricing information was NEVER disclosed to me, the CS rep told me that payment would "come out of my settlement."  she also said my "settlement was not meant to go shopping with."  she said my attorney could call her to negotiate a price.

i told her that 1) i hadn't even gone to settlement 2) the guy that hit me didn't even have a lot of insurance and i was getting the short end of the stick 3) the representative that gave me the unit made no mention of price or that i would have to pay.  she insisted money would come out of my settlement.

when i looked up this company online, i found several fraud reports.  they try to bamboozle people when they are at their most down and out.  don't do business with them under any circumstances!!!!  i had to report them to the FBI.

Ok,

First off I just got my unit a few days ago. It has given me a fair amount of relief. it's helped me avoid using pain meds, having to do physical therapy, and avoid surgery. And those annoying  pain patches don't get me started.

I don't think people would buy the unit nor would their insurance company if they knew the same machine was 10 or 20 times less than what you bill. $4000 is excessive! I know that if I get charged a ludicrous amount like that, when my insurance should be responsible for covering most or all of it...you all won't be happy campers.

This unit is amazing don't get me wrong. As long as I have everything i need or everythings accessible there's no problem on my end. But what's with the animosity and the attitude problem from "This Guy" A loyal is great...a good captain goes down with their ship. But, some of your colleagues...the other customer service reps who sell these units...are in and out faster than a dr. once you sign that...they briefly show you how to use it and out like a thief in the night. I think it was more like this...the poor guy is overworked...underpaid...has no idea whats going on.

the product works...i'm middle-ground as we speak...but we'll see how this goes! as far as That Guy...not very many survived when the titanic sunk. (and Enron didn't think they were going to fail they thought they were invincible).

You can tell by the response of this employee that I have been dealing with a nightmare.  This person seems to have overlooked the main facts I stated:

1) I was told I wouldn't have to pay for it
2) No price was EVER mentioned to me, much less $4000 (this thing is worth $50 TOPS).
3) I was never told I had top return it because I was promised I wouldn't have to pay for it.
4) The FBI does not disclose cases to the public LOL!!! Especially when it is STILL under investigation.

And if anybody wants to look up this company..do a GOogle search of Zynex Medical Complaints....

PS - I WAS told by the Zynex rep this WAS a TENS unit...just another lie, I guess...

I work for this company and know that this information is not accurrate in it's nature. First of all this is NOT a TENS!!! This is for an Interferential/neuromuscular stimulator and is much different than a TENS unit in what it is used for and what it is trying to accomplish!

Funny thing with this report is that this patient states that they "stuck this in their closet and forgot about it." Then they fast forward a year later and get a bill for $4000.00. Is Zynex responsible for this patients stupidty? This patient was having monthly supplies sent to them, why did they not call and stop the supplies and also try to return a product that was not working for them? This patient could have returned the unit after they realized this was not working and had a bill of only a couple hundred dollars. This patient is mad for their own laziness and ignorance while trying to blame the world for their problems. Did this patient ever check their insurance to see what might pay? What ever happened to the Explanation of Benefits that was sent by this patients ins. company that stated their responsibility? Did the patients attorney ever attempt to call to negotiate this bill? Was this even the price the patient PAID?

This patient states that the sales representative that gave them the unit made no mention of price or that they would have to pay. The representative stated this would come out of their settlement. This is true and I guess this patient had the belief that this was a gift from the Tooth Fairy or that Santa Claus was going to take care of this for them. Heck everyone knows that MEDICINE IS FREE in this country or this person thought they were going to sue for a mountain of money. Did this patient ever ask what the cost of such service might be? I know for a fact that Zynex has negotiated bills under certain circumstances for different insurance cases. ZYNEX is known for giving NO OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE TO THE PATIENT.

This person states that when they looked up this company there are several fraud reports and they reported this company to the FBI. What a joke!!! I was out sick for a week and searched daily on the internet looking for such cases. I FOUND THESE REPORTS ONLY AND NO OTHERS! There is a class action lawsuit at the moment because Zynex had to restate their earnings because of downturns in the business and circumstance for a short period of time. REMEMBER: In America you are supposed to be considered innocent until proven guilty! My belief is that Zynex will prevail in this lawsuit or I would not be doing business with them and would be looking for a new job. I am not looking and I have confidence in Zynex and it's management.

Over the past 15 years, I have worked in the electrical therapy industry and know that the cost associated with this product is NOT out of line for the product this patient more than likely received. I have worked for companies where the expense was even higher. There are different modalities used by way of different products that give different results for different health issues. Some of these products can even be several times this expense depending on the severity of the patient's condition or needs. You can always buy something less expensive that is made of inferior quality. This patient does NOT know what they are talking about and is angry at their own lack of knowledge of medicine, the system and responsibility! They are responsible for asking the questions that are associated with their financial responsibilty regarding their insurance and legal issues.

It is a shame that reports such as this get published when  companies like Zynex and others do a wonderful job of helping people relieve pain and increase their function of daily activities. Many thousands of patients are given relief from pain with such devices. This comes from Zynex and other competitors that help doctors help their patients. This product was given to this patient under the direction of their doctor. This doctor obviously has seen the benefit of this product that has been around for years.

The bottom line is this patient should have returned the product instead of sticking it in the closet for a year!
