Having known Angelo for over 20 years, he came to me with a sob story about how he needed investment money for Manx Farms. He did tell me this was a business that was making a significant amount of money and had deals in place. As a friend, I lent him a significant amount (in the thousands) as a personal loan. He drew up a contact and promised to pay me twice my money back within a year.
Obviously, after he received the funds, he let on that Manx Farms actually went up and running and I heard all the usual hard luck stories along with about 100-150 promises that he was “going to collect payment” or "on his way to the bank to pay me”.
He also promised he would be sending me and my wife some very expensive art as a thank you. Nothing ever arrived and when it finally got ugly, he tried blackmailing me for something he had made up in his own deluded mind.
Angel Gallo AKA Angelo Amadio) is a born conman and liar to the extreme. I have since discovered he tried a large insurance scam in 2009 that made TV. (After just escaping getting caught he changed his surname).
I know that one day Karma will catch up with him.
