Anxiety Institute of Greenwhich CT Anxiety Institute Be careful...Huge Expense that Created More Anxiety In My Child!! greenwich CT
My daughter refused to go to school after the holiday. I was unfortunately referred to The Anxiety Institute in Greenwich, CT for outpatient services. I was initially told by the Institute that she would be there for 4 weeks. As the 4-week session was about to end, they insisted she needed another 4 weeks. I noticed that her anxiety about returning to school was increasing while there, but they insisted that it was part of the process. After more than 8 weeks and $70K, it was strongly suggested that she continue therapy after the program. After the care, I reached out to them several times to give my feedback on the program. It wasn't until I mentioned I would pay for more sessions that they returned my email. It always made me question why a place called the Anxiety Institute created more anxiety in my daughter as they encouraged her to stay away from school for a longer period of time. Today she believes the center did nothing for her except create more issues and gave her too much information on residential facilities and further treatment. There has to be a better place to take your child than this type of facility that seems to place a higher value on keeping the child in their expensive system for as long as they can get you to pay for it. Please be careful and do your homework before engaging them in any service. It was a completely unnecessary costly expense that did more damage to my child than good, in my opinion.
