I purchased a stage 4-48re from ats two years ago and it has had nothing but problems. (hard shifting, does not find the correct gear to be in, over heats, makes grinding noise when in park) after taking a while to get ats to do anything to fix the first transmission. They did replace it. only to have this one do the exact same things.
I can't wait in a drive through for more than a few minutes without the transmission overheating. I got about 2k miles out of the first one and it even broke thier flex plate at 500 miles. (Thier welds broke...bullet proof my?) I also now have a slight whooping noise coming from thier 5 star converter. I spent a little over 8k for this tranmission and got maybe 3k miles total between the two.
Complete ripoff. with the tow from the flex plat, I have lost well over 10k on this deal. No even mentioning the truck is was supposed to be used for hotshot trucking. I havn't made a dime on the truck in two years because ats product is inferior. I would never recomend anyone to buy ats transmissions. It is a ripoff.
Im now asking for my money back as I have allowed them two transmissions installed and they both are inferior products. I think that does not make a good product so no matter how many transmission they give me, they will always fail. ATS only has 2.5 stars on yelp and most complaints match mine. Someone needs to stop this company from ripping people off... It is incrediable they have gotten aways with it for this long. I want a refund or we will see what happens with other avenues.
