Complaint Review: contractor - palm coast Florida

My wife decided to sell in the near future of her home in Ga, we are resdidents of Florida, This so called friend who i knew for a year and a half is in the so called contracting business and wanted a shot for the job, I said how you going to do this leaving in Florida and goign to Georgia and he knew there was a commitment date to have this done by.

It turned out he was the lowest bid for the job by 5,000 so i thought i could trust him, infact i talked my wife into hiring him, what a big a*s mistake that was. He was several weeks starting we gave him a check for 5000 on the 19 of jan and then 2000 on jan 23.i found out in the beignning of Feburary that on Jan 19 he was in court for a eviction notice.

4500.00 well i know where my 5000 no doubt. he did come to Atlanta to work until the 1st week and February and hardly did any work i actually worked as much as him. then his girfriend put notice on fb how sick he was and another week of no working the week before no work his auotmobile went out of commission.

Funny thing when i went to atlanta with him he tried to use his cc and i had to use mine to rent a truck. I found it strange but i thought to myself we all go through hard times. He did pay me for truck on Monday after returning sunday. (to set us up more)Then we knew his sons were in town, so my wife out of the goodness of heart said let him be with his kids.

Then more excuses of why he could not go, He finally went up on the week of March 3 he used a neighbor of mine to help him who he stiffed paying what he said he would pay hm. Upon him returning from Atlanta he told my wife he would not work any more unless we paid him another 2500.00 My wife gave him another 1750 my god our we stupid and said she would use her credit card if anymore supplies were needed.

After that date he never returned. After investigating him i found out he had no state papers i was passed on to the contracting division of the state of Florida not listed and they advised me to check with the city or city i lived in. As soon as i called them i was asked to give a statement to Flager County protection of senior citizens He later had me talk to the police department.

Here is what i found out there is a house warrent for him in the state of Md and there are about 5 other people in Flager County that have been victimized by this person, There is a court date set for next wed the 17th he has scammed people between the two states for about 55,000 over the last three weeks i have spent a lot of time at Flager County justice department. When he meets with the City who contracts will be there i pray to god that they recommend criminal charges should be brought against him.

It is costing us another 18,000 to get our home done in a appropriate time and anticipate he does not have 27000 to pay us back so jail time is fine by me. If anyone understands what goes on in a jail, He will probably get his butt kicked every day and the rest of the time raped justice will serve its punishment Fraud

 lied stoled 9000 from us claims we committed fraude to insurance company we nerver submitted some of his bids because we knew it would be lying. Owes us cabinets that we have receipts for with vendor he sent a receipt paid in full for cabinets with manufactures logo on invoice cabinet maker denies he only asked for a quote part of 4200 he was paid for. We believe also the cabinet maker could be involved in this.
