I was called up three times before my procedure was done and I asked them three times that I do not have money to spend because I am broke and I stated to them I don't need no surprises after the procedure which I did have done that day.

I spent a small amount less than $85 for the procedure that day for my colonoscopy because I had cancer in the past they did the procedure. They told me I had two polyps and he couldn't find them when it was done and left them there...

Now I pray that I do not get cancer again because they did not remove them. He stated he could not find them when exiting from the test today. He stated that they are small enough where I should not have an issue and that they will remove them the next time when I go for my colonoscopy?

That is if there's a next time and I do not receive more cancer because they did not remove them when I went for the test and they found them they should have been removed right then and there. Now today I received a phone call from this medical center after I was told that I did not have a payment that Medicare covers the cost and now they're telling me I owe them $917.12? This is pathetic.

I was told on three occasions that I will not be billed for anything besides the copayment that I paid them when I first went there and I checked in for the test and now I am getting called up telling me I owe $917.12.

This Hospital wants me to die because I cannot afford it and I will have to do it without my insulin because there's no money left. They should have told me there was going to be cost in the first place not that I make a payment when I went to the hospital for the test and then they charge me yet again after the test after they told me they would not be a charge because Medicare covers it.

AARP Medicare Plans from United... Does Medicare Cover a Colonoscopy? How Much Does a Colonoscopy Cost with Medicare?

Medicare doesn’t limit colonoscopy coverage based on age, though it does limit how frequently you can get one. Medicare Part B covers colonoscopy costs if your physician accepts assignment, which means they accept the amount Medicare approves for the procedure and agree to receive payment directly from Medicare. On average, Medicare recipients pay $0 for colonoscopies, according to the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
