On 17.04, I made an international order with DHL from Germany to Hungary containing incredibly important personal documents. DHL promised delivery within 10 days max.

On 21.04, I was informed that DHL handed the package over to Magyar Posta. However, when I checked the Magyar Posta tracking system, I found out the order never arrived in Hungary.

Since then, I’ve been stuck in an infuriating loop of calls and complaints. DHL blames Magyar Posta and vice versa. I've filled out endless complaints and ordered multiple investigations. This nonsense went on until 06.06—a full 50 days later—when DHL finally admitted they couldn’t find our order. Their idea of compensation? A paltry 37.5 euros!

 

Reissuing the lost documents is a nightmare that requires traveling abroad and will cost me up to 200 euros! The delay has already caused severe disruption.

I WASTED AN ENORMOUS AMOUNT OF TIME, MONEY, AND NERVES AND THEY HELD ZERO RESPONSIBILITY.

To make matters worse, I've discovered many people have had similar experiences with these companies. It seems this isn't an isolated incident but a pattern of negligence and incompetence.

 

Whose fault is this? John Pearson? Barnabás Balczó? Who is going to take responsibility for this utter failure? Why is this happening, and why do we, as customers, just accept having our stuff and money stolen?

How do we ensure this never happens to anyone else again? This incompetence and lack of accountability from DHL and Magyar Posta is unacceptable and needs to be addressed!
