eBay disabled senior ripped off San Jose California
My friend and disabled senior, 86 years old had put her vintage book on eBay for sale. It was the Gone With The Wind, rare 1936 edition for $800. A buyer perchased the book and then later said it was not as described and wanted a rufund. He wanted a refund when he hadn't paid for it in the first place! The book was most certainly as described, the buyer was just a "SCAM ARTIST" waithing for someone like my friend, a nice lady, disabled and 86 years of age only wanting to sell a book to help her pay for her flight to see her son who lives out of state as she may pass away never getting to see him again. The buyer did not follow eBay protocol as he contacted eBay first instead of my friend the seller. eBay in turn answered his compalint and they in turn did not follow correct protocol by letting the buyer know he should contect the seller first and went on with his complaint even though they ( eBay) had not followed their own protocol. This put a lot of thension, worry and distress on my friend as she is a heart patient and this was very time consuming , tiring and stressful to her. eBay 'sided" with the buyer even though the buyer and eBay FAILED to follow protocol. I also have noted on line, that there have also been many complaints about eBay from sellers concerning eBays unfair practices. I would advise ALL persons thinking about selling something on eBay to think twice before making that fatal mistake!! eBay also uses people from the Phillappines, India and other foreign countries and it is very hard to understand them as they do not speak correct English and the caller is left without an answer or not understanding the person who has taken their call. As I have stated earlier, in my opinion , I would suggest using another method of selling other than eBay, they are NOT to be trusted with your personal, valuable items for sale. Please look for another site that is more legitimate and has the sellers interests first. Thank you
