Genesis Consumer Affairs Genesis Motor America, Delray Genesis Wasted my time an refused to repair a recalled car Delray Beach Florida
On 11/20/23, I contacted Genesis Motor America concerning a severe oil leak. The representative told me to bring it to the dealership and not to worry about it that they would cover the repairs and send a reimbursement form for a rental car. On 12/12/23, John from Delray Genesis called and said that I needed to pick up the car and that they would not repair it. 1- I quickly learned that over 8,000 Hyundai and Genesis90 models had a recall on them and was told by John at Delray Genesis that the recall was already done on my car without any proof what-so-ever. 2- When I purchased the car it also came with a 100,000 mile national warranty and Genesis and Delray Genesis refused to honor the warranty. So, for 22 days my car sat at Delray Genesis for nothing causing me to bear the expense of the rental vehicle. On 12/12/23, I had the car towed 24 miles away to my personal mechanic and he was able to calll the warranty company and get the work done and returned it to me 12/28/23.
After leaving a message and over two weeks, Erika at Genesis Motor America called me on 12/21/23 and stated that she would send me an email closing the case and also the form to ask for a reimbursed for the rental car. These companies are a Rip Off because I am stuck with a $2,264.93 rental car expense due to their representatives dishonest claims and remarks, holding my vehicle for 22 days and refusing to repair a recalled automobile.

If you want to find out FOR SURE if the recall has been done, go to the NHTSA website. The federal government keeps records of such things.
