I was trying to purchase a firearm (Kimber Raptor 9mm) because of the pandemic guns are almost impossible to fine in stores or the internet. When I googled the firearm I was looking for I came up with "The Kimber Store" and the showed one for sale. When I clicked on the link it came up "KINGLER WEAPONS STORE" out of Montana. I was suspicious because they went right to the check out page without any advice on requiring an FFL. They also wouldn't answer the Phone listed in "contact us" and it's also their fax#.
I went to their chat with a rep tool and they wouldn't except my CC directly. They wanted me to download and use the "Cash Pay App", which doesn't take CC's only ATM cards. Went back to the chat thing and then they wanted me to change it to the "Zelle Pay App", they also don't take CC's just ATM's. I told him over the chat thing if he wanted to sell the gun to call me, and a man with an extremely heavy Indian accent called me, (and there supposed to be in Montana lol). I said "give me a few mins to set it up and I'll call you back". I then called Kimber Firearms to see if it was a scam. They told me that "those people (Kingler Weapons aka "The Kimber Store") were ripping a lot of people off for a lot of money. They don't send you anything, just take your money". Luckily they didn't get mine, just trying to warn people. Doesn't anybody go after these as*holes?

I too recently spotted a specific pistol I have been shopping for listed for sale on this website. My search revealed "in stock" so I began the purchase process through the website portal noted in this previous post. I was provided an Order Number along with instructions on how to establish a Zelle Payment Account in order to make my payment for this item. The other option for payment was given as "cyrptocurrency" which I do not personally use. I thought this payment method odd, but proceeded with the initial process.
Because I was setting Zelle up for the first time, this portion of the process took nearly an hour to complete. Then, after I was not able to identify a "recipient" for my payment, I attempted to contact the company for assistance. It attempted to use the 'Chat' feature of the website -- some generic responses but no assistance. I then called the 'Contact Us' phone number -- which rang constant busy signal (a number showing as from Colorado). I then received a text message out of the blue from an unidentified number (which I later determined was also from CO but a different area code 719). That person offered early assistance, but then failed to respond to my queries. Lastly, I communicated via an email to [email protected] but received no responses.
I just now received a response from the mysterious Text number which provided me the Zelle ID I am to use for transferring the funds: [email protected] Name: Khalil Dobbing. It was this response that tipped me mind to understanding this was a potential scam. I had been working way too hard to make this purchase, only to have this message arrive which seemed to not fit with any of the prior bits of info I was able to uncover: 1) Website Org name "Kingler Weapon Sales" is different from address name "KimberGunStore.com"; 2) Associated Phone numbers are listed in CO; 3) Address search of 501 Bay Dr, Great Falls MT 59404 pulls up link to Central Montana Electric Power Cooperative; 4) Prior poster identified this seller as being located in LasVegas NV.
These things all align with this organization being very shady. I have since closed my order, elimitated my Buyer account with these folks, and have cleared out and closed my Zelle Account. I recommend others to keep their eyes open to this one...looks like nothing more than a scam that fortunately did not net me.
