In 2007, I lent what I thought was a friend (Marcello Thedford) $15,000 as he was in desperate need of this money. While it was a handshake, I documented the agreement with a promissory note, and bank records. After giving Marcello ample time to repay me, I had no choice but to pursue legal action against him and his partner.
We were never able to locate him to obtain a judgment and turns out he burnt the woman he was with as well. While I truly want to believe he is a good person, his actions say otherwise. This was a good learning lesson for me, but none these I am reporting this to help someone else avoid him and my same fate. I believe he is a crook with many issues, and hopefully he will get the Karma he deserves.

1. You weren't good-hearted, you were stupid. Yes, you learned a lesson. Don't be throwing money at people again. If someone's reliable enough to trust for a $15,000 loan, let him go to a d**n bank, that's what they are for.
2. There's no such thing as karma. If you believed in karma, you wouldn't have pursued this guy in the first place. Karma is a horrible philosophy- it means that when a child is abused, that child did something to deserve it. Dump that crap now, please.
3. Yes, this guy has issues. He also has $15,000. You are stunningly naive. You are out $15,000.
