San Diego attorney Scott McMillan failed at law, so he decided to open up a law school, McMillan Academy of Law. The McMillan Academy of Law is located at 4670 Nebo Dr Ste 200, La Mesa, CA 91941 which is the same address as the one-man law firm of Scott McMillan San Diego attorney. The State Bar report calls the place a scam (in nice words) such as pointing out the law book are years out of date, the building doesn't comply with the ADA, only three students attended the school, and not a single person has graduated – but then again you need a student.As the lengthy report by the State Bar of California put it,
"As a result, and as confirmed by the inspection, MAOL is noncompliant as to three material requirements: Its law library is noncompliant since its hardcopy legal authorities have not been updated since 2013; without any tuition income, the law school’s current and future financial viability appears questionable; and its website and written materials offer outdated and misleading information to both the general public and potential applicants."

I hope all potential consumers who want to forward his/her educational goals understand fraudulent schools exist and it is important to review the school's credentials, history, and academic staff.

As a follow up to other posts concerning San Diego Attorney Scott McMillan, The McMillan Law Firm in La Mesa, found other information and think consumers need to be aware about attorneys who represent themself as being a "leading" attorney or misrepresent how great they are. I found a report about his apparent involvement related to child abuse and court records show he has a criminal record. I hope this is not another matter where the State Bar did not do a proper background check on an attorney.
I also see on here Scott McMillan was the Dean of his own law school he ran out of his office. The State Bar did succeed in shutting down the fraudulent school with no students or graduates.
If anyone has addiitonal information about San Diego Scott McMillan please post it as it serves to warn people prior to spending a lot of money on an attorney with numerous losses.
