Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I saw this ad on Facebook for a (physical) book that is supposed to be tailored to your dietary needs.  I clicked on the add and answered a few simple questions so that they could tailor the book.  I looked at a snippet of the book and thought it was pretty cool.  (this whole time I thought I was purchasing a physical book because that is all that is advertised).  When I go to the checkout portion of the website, it says that the e-book would be $39.99.  Once I saw the e-book I immediately tried to look for a physical copy of the book, because that is what I thought I was getting in the first place.

They didn't have an option to get just the physical book alone, instead, they wanted to charge me an extra $40 to upgrade my e-book to a physical one.  I didn't want the e-book that is not at all what they advertised.  So I tried to cancel my order and thought I did.  I didn't put any credit card information or anything.  I didn't press confirm payment or anything I simply canceled what I was doing.  Almost 2 hours later I get an email from that company saying "Thank you for the purchase of your e-book" and they took out $40 from my PayPal account!!  I immediately contacted their customer service and explained what I thought I was getting and explained that I wanted to cancel the order.

They just kept repeating the same thing, that the e-book was listed at the checkout and that it was clear.  No, it was not clear, not on the advertisement, and not on the website, they wait until you are close to checkout to tell you that you are not getting the physical copy of the book they advertised.  I have asked them multiple times to CANCEL my order, that they didn't have the authorization to take the payment from my account.  However, they still took the money and sent me a link to their stupid e-book.  It's like the words cancel and refund are not in that business's vocabulary.  They told me that they can only give me a partial refund because I had already purchased the book.  WHICH I DID NOT.

I had canceled my order, and I tried to explain that to them, but they didn't want to hear that.  I had asked them to cancel it multiple times and they took the money and completed a transaction that I did not want, or authorize.  I know that there are businesses that care more about the money than their potential customers, but this company equals the all-time low for ripping off customers.
