Plaza West Jewelry & Loan Jones Franklin Road Raleigh Sold me a fake piece of jewelry Raleigh NC
On occasion, I buy jewelry from places unfamilar which is why it pays to only buy from reputable pawn brokers. Plaza West is not that place. This place is owned and operated by a husband and wife who do not like certain segments of the population any more than Donald Trump. This was determined after the wife tried to sell me a fake or knock-off designer piece of jewelry.
When in doubt, walk out. In fact, do not deal with this place at all. You will get ripped off especially if you appear not to know real jewelry. In my case, I know fine and high-end jewelry but not particularly keen at spotting a fake with all the same signature markings, heavy weight etc. This time, I was nearly fooled until the jewelry broke after only a few hours following the purchase. By that time, the store had closed for the day.
So, the next morning I took the piece of jewelry back to the store which is when the woman owner looked me in the eyes and lied about it being real. She and I went back and forth regarding the authenticity of the piece when I reminded her that I had made previous purchases from her and did not appreciate buying jewelry that was fragile to the touch. I had to play nice in order to get my money back from that (((REDACTED))), lying (((REDACTED))).
Beware, and if you must buy jewelry from these people, prove that you are a well-versed and experienced purchaser of fine jewelry. I prove my case, stood my ground, kept my cool and avoided taking the b to court or calling a consumer reporter.
