Priceline Refusing to refund $182 for a reservation on a rental car that was canceled (for free) by the rental company. Las Vegas Nevada
I reserved a car for a week on December 11,2021 online with Priceline.com. After they charged my debit card they sent me a confirmation code via email stating it was all set to go pick up so I took a lyft to the airport costing $31.25 and went to the rental counter only to be told they couldn't accept our card to rent the car, the same card that Priceline ALREADY charged for the rental rate.
The rental company then canceled the reservation and told me they werent charging me for anything but when I mentioned that priceline had already charged me for the rental they just shrugged and said to take it up with Priceline bc they werent affiliated with them. So I immediately called Priceline and the guy was telling me that even though I didnt get a car I would still have to pay for it! I asked to be transferred to his supervisor he insisted several times that I would get the same answer and kept saying that there was nothing he could do but I kept insisting on speaking to his supervisor until he put me on hold for twenty minutes and finally comes back on the line impersonating a manager as if he was another person but I could tell it was the same guy!
He kept denying it until finally conceding that it was indeed the same guy, he then told me they would call me back and they never did! These guys arent just middle men crooks they are liars and have been sued in the past for bad business practices and now they refuse to refund money they charged me even though I never got to rent the car! If you are thinking about using them to book your travel accommodations take it from me and don't because they will not save you money they will rip you off and cost you more money and wasted time.
