Richard Lubliner took my money & ran west palm beach florida
In April 2023 Richard Lubliner was hired for my divorce case proceedings. I paid him $4,000.00 His duties were to read and review the motion that was given to him then add 1st party case law to that motion and argue that motion in the hearing. Lubliner decided to disregard that agreement we had & made up his own motion then submitted it without any prior approval or communication. Upon reviewing this motion, I realized he left out a lot of crucial information that was discussed. Incl. using 3rd party case law instead of 1st party & caused me to lose the hearing. He also incorrectly stated the claim that my ex-husband placed a lis pending on only one of my properties. I reminded him again, that it was all properties and he would’ve have known that from reading the motion i gave to him. May 2/3, Lubliner, sent me nasty text messages accusing me of speaking negatively about him to other people He was upset that I had another lawyer review the motion he submitted without my approval. After that Lubliner deserted me as a client and refused to speak with me. He did not show up to the hearing. He officially withdrew as counsel on June 7 His abandonment forced me to hire yet another lawyer at the last minute to catch up and complete his work. While I was searching for another lawyer to replace him, I had to accrue additional costs from my already retained lawyers to assist me in any way they could. A lawyer should not be allowed to take your money, do the opposite of what was agreed, then withdrawal & refuse to speak with you. These actions hurt me a great deal. I lost the motion, lost the sale of one of my properties so I didn’t have the funds to receive my cancer treatment. Lubliner is operating in bad practice& abused his power position as a lawyer in my case to do whatever he wanted no matter what we agreed upon and discussed beforehand. He does not communicate with his clients and doesn’t show any care/compassion to how his actions will affect them.
