Complaint Review: Stephen Stockmal Megawatt - Ansonia & Oxford Connecticut

KEANW - Bridgeport, CT --- September 16, 2021:  Connecticut based Multi Hospitality Group, (MHG) tells Karaoke Entertainment Alert Newswire (KEANW) that their fellow restaurant owners and managers, need to be forewarned, not to hire Megawatt Entertainment, LLC, as Karaoke host(s).  "Effectively, we are recommendeing a NO HIRE POLICY on Stephen Sockmal's, Megawatt Entertainment, LLC., a boycott of sorts, given the depth and breadth of his nonsense and unprofessionalism."

"MHG hired Mr. Stockmal to host karaoke shows in our restaurants and Stockmal was a disaster." MHG Spokeperson went on; "Half of our regular customer base went away, when Stocmal came to host, most of whom have still not returned. Complaint after complaint"

MHG telling KEANW; "Stephen Stockmal was negligent in his duties to MHG on most if not all engagements, a real detriment." "Late to start, disorganized, argumentative with guests, fight scenes with his always long-faced (kill-joy) wife," are just a few words to describe Stephen Stockmal and posse.

MHG adding; "Stockmal also falsified his karaoke experience, naming clubs/restaurants that he hosted karaoke at, when in fact in reality, neither Stockmal, or his partner Eric Buchsbaum ever hosted at these places." Continuing; "It's like lying on your resume. He promised this huge following and he delivered less than a hand full of customers." Stockmal has "no credibility" says MHG executives. 

KEANW did confirm Stockmal's, Megawatt Entertainment, LLC having hosted karaoke at River Rock Tavern (RRT), Derby, CT.  Some RRT patron's tell KEANW that Stockmal is notorious for humiliating guests over his sound system, naming guests by first and last names and blurting out thier home addresses, in retaliation. KEANW contacted RRT, for comment and management did not return KEAN's Call, but one RRT employee, who talked to KEANW, based on anonymity says; "Guests go out to have a good time  eating and consuming alcoholic beverages and Stockmal is on the mic publically denouncing our guests. Stockmal adversely impacts our tips, as a result."

A longtime RRT guest who sits front row at Stockmal's weekly Tuesday night show tells KEANW; "My girlfriends and I laugh at Stephen Stockmal. My friends and I refer to him as "Stephen's Socks-smell" and his wife and him as; "The Sock-Smells."

"Stockmal blows up at guests, then makes adverserial comments over his system, for all to hear," MHG  tells KEANW; "You could be Stockmal's next victim of public attack, it could be anyone." Stockmal's reprehensibnle actions deprived our waiters and waitress of tips."

Another guest wanted KEANW to know; "Stephen Stockmal would often appear late to karaoke shows, with his wife Dawn Leary Stockmal, and to top it off, Leary-Stockmal would sing out of tine, and create public displays of effection in front of the crowd, get a room already" 

"Guests have to kowtow to the "Sock-Smells," given the fact that he's the Karaoke host," said another RRT guest. 

MHG added; "Our guests had to endure Leary-Stockmal sing mostly out of tune, numerous times a night." MHG says, Stockmal and Leary Stockmal, made inappropriate public displays of affection's (PDA's), quarreled, not to mention were hostile and disrespectful to our valued guests. "It's for these reasons that we are encouraging and promoting a NO HIRE POLICY on Stephen Stockmal"
