Rebuttal to "11th Street Fitness Center From Bankruptcy to Scandal in Management"- Washington District of Columbia In response to the rebuttals, it is interesting that the 'employees' or should I say management of 11th Street Fitness Center has written in to counter react my report. Ask the member who had $20K stolen from his locker if 11th Street Fitness center is the #1 Health and Fitness Club in Washington, DC. Ask the members who take classes in the group fitness room with the heavily deteriorating floor if 11th Street Fitness Center is acceptable. Ask the numerous male members or current male members who have had valuables stolen from 11th Street Fitness Center and formerly The Fitness Company over the last 4 YEARS, if 11th Street Fitness center is credible. And the locks to the lockers STILL have not been changed. Ask the members who have been injured on the rusting and outmoded equipment how great 11th Street Fitness Center. Ask the disgruntled members who have not had access to the steam room for an 'undisclosed' amount of time how much Darryl Davis has done for the The Fitness Company...oops I mean TFC partners. Ask former employee Melissa or current employee Quiana how great Darryl Davis is...when they received their check with hours less than what they worked. Ask the members how long it has been since the spa/massage therapy services has been available compared to how long it has been advertised as an amenity. Ask the frustrated members who have gone to group fitness classes and no instructor arrives to the scheduled class how awesome 11th Street Fitness Center. Ask a former member who has cancelled due to the unsanitary environment, lack of amenities advertised, overpricing of membership compared with what is ACTUALLY offered, theft, or any of the issues listed above, and then tell me how great 11th Street Fitness Center. Ask someone other than a "veteran" employee how bustling 11th Street Fitness Center is! During my tenure at 11th Street Fitness Center I worked with integrity and diligence. As one employee and many members doted, "You are the best membership advisor that this club has had in many years." I do not have anything to be hostile about other than the fact that my hard work was not met with the compensation that I was due. Nevertheless, I will get my day in court. Just as the man who had $20K stolen from his "secured" locker. Good Day Darryl\. Charm Beltsville, Maryland

I am an employee of the 11th Street Fitness Center. I have worked here for some time now and I can't even begin to express the significant improvements that Daryl Davis has made under the new management. The 11th Street Fitness Center was formerly owned by The Fitness Company and was called The Fitness Company at 12th Street. The Fitness Company filed for bankruptcy and is no longer associated with the 11th Street Fitness Center location. The person who wrote this article has no clear understanding of the facts at all. First, The 11th Street Fitness Center has never filed for bankruptcy. Secondly, the 11th Street Fitness Center has several pieces of new equipment. And Lastly, The 11th Street Fitness Center has retained many of its employees since taking over the Fitness Center. There is a great deal of team cohesiveness and family here at the 11th Street Fitness Center. Most of us have been here for a long time, which includes the transition from the Fitness Company, and we intend to stay. Quite frankly some of the employees find it very offensive that this person "Charm" would make such erroneous allegations after only working here a month. I guess this explains why she "Charm" was fired. And from my understanding she didn't quit-she "Charm" was fired. Therefore, there is no credibility or validity in what she is saying because if this place was that bad why didn't she just leave. Hmmm.... The 11th Street Fitness Center has improved its leadership by bringing in Daryl Davis and I am glad to have him "Daryl Davis" as my General Manager. The Fit Pro

As a former member of the 11th street Fitness Center, this type of report I have never seen about this gym. During my experience at the gym, it was nothing but warm greetings from the employees and the manager Daryl Davis. The young lady who reported these accusations on ripoffreport.com was nothing but trouble during her nearly two months employment at the Fitness Center. She would start unnecessary arguments and tried to impose her position on others as if she was the manager. On different occasions, it was reported to Daryl Davis by the others employees including Personal Trainers. As her time at the 11th Street Fitness Center came to a termination, her desire has been to bring down the Fitness Center through humilation and slanders. But only the truth will set her free.
