Gilbert Borman, you are a liar. You took my money and you never did anything. You never completed any services while you were taking money out of my checking account until I paid you $2500.00 and I never got anything. I never got a loan modification, I never got a waiver / forgiveness of my payments in default. I never got anything including I never heard from your office when my modification was denied by my mortgage company. So to write here that you don't take any money until your clients receive what you promise is a lie. I feel the same way. This company has done nothing but SCAM me. I dont know how these people can get away with the shady things they have done to people. I'm trying my hardest to research a way to get ALL the money that they have taken. I dont know how these crooks sleep at night.

We have attempted to reach out to this dissatisfied client and resolve the issues between us and will continue to try to resolve this complaint.
First American is fully compliant with all federal and state laws and we complete all services under our agreements before accepting payment. Our ethical standards comply with the highest standards of the legal profession. The complainant is incorrect in this assertion.
We take all client complaints seriously, and despite the accusations in this post, will still attempt resolve this matter with this particular client.
Our firm has completed over 1500 modifications in the last three years. We have dozens of client testimonials of grateful clients who are delighted with our services. Out of the many representations we have done, only the smallest fraction have ever complained. We attempt to deal proactively and fairly with any client dissatisfied with our services.
Lastly, it should be noted that recent revelations from whistle-blowers have shown that some lenders have dealt unfairly with borrowers. Just as an attorney cannot win every case, so too, in an administrative representation of this kind, we do not always prevail.
