Company has refused to replace dead air/heat unit for 2nd floor dispite repeated failures dating back to 2006. Multiple companies, compressors. Yearly premiums currently $1000 + $100 deductible. Agent has stated unit should have been replaced years ago. Every summer, unit goes out repeatedly, 2-10 sends one of their company approved ac repair companies, repair company submits that new unit needed. 2-10 refuses replacement, piece-meals appliance repair, costing me over $3000 out of pocket since 2006.
April 2014 here we go again. AC repair company says no way unit cannot be replaced, submitted 5/6. 5/12 2-10 offers to replace condesing unit, says no failure to air handling system. My out of pocket will be $3851, not including $100 pre-paid deductible. I file report with Denver BBB. 5/13 2-10 contacts again stating escaltation to BBB has given them autority to replace air handling system, now my total out of pocket will just be $1363 + $100 deductible, but that 2-10 was going with another system than was quoted(???)
Yesterday, 5/20, did I mention we have been without unit since April and we live in the southeast, 2-10 would give me a buy-out, I choose the company & unit, for $1363 and throw in my $100 deductible as a bonus...so they are graciously going to give me $1463 for a system that the company they referred quotes unit at $5800 and I have already paid out $3000 on a system that their representative concedes should have been replaced years ago....Wow...
