Dedicated 2-Spyware, or 2-Spyware.com is it's called is a dangerous fake website that installed a virus onto a few business computers, destroying the network.

On September 18th, 2012 a business conference took place, we were discussing malware of all things, visited 2-spyware.com due to a search on Google and immediately got hit with a virus by trying to download software from them.
Once we were infected we contacted 2-spyware.com using the contact form and never heard back from them. In conclusion 2-spyware.com is a scam and malicious website everyone needs to avoid. If your computer is infected this website will only make it worse. It's a disturbing phishing scam site that needs to be removed.

I can't find anything bad about 2-spyware!

I am freelance security researcher from Germany. All these comments on Ripoff Report managed to initiate serious interest in me, like what can I expect on 2spyware... I must add that I have never been on this page before, so I anticipated finding various blinking notifications, pop-up ads and other things reporting about invented viruses and then offering fake anti-virus programs.

However, 2spyware doesn't seem to be malicious website. In fact, there are hundreds of similar websites that are dedicated to malware viruses. In my opinion, the site doesn't host any malicious content, and it's safe to use. It has a good free computer help forum, by the way..

The weak side of 2spyware is that it's dedicated only to malware, which is becoming less frequent these months.

So, for its owner and employees I could only wish the strength because it seems that they have been involved in some kind of game or competition.

2-spyware is very malicious! Previous rebuttal off topic!

I am a Facebook employee working on web spam, without giving out too much information about myself, it is understood by the majority of experts that 2-spyware.com is a malicious website. To say otherwise is to be malicious.

The previous rebuttal is very off topic, most likely from someone associated with 2-spyware. 2-spyware does not list latest threats, nor removal instructions, 2-spyware details how to remove malware using rogue software such as Spy Hunter, Spy Doctor, and StopZilla. No one whom makes a living removing malware, independent or not, unless associated with 2-spyware would ever say that 2-spyware is a legitimate site. 2-spyware.com is a website that hosts malware from time to time, in acts of desperation to generate revenue.

They have been blacklisted by HpHosts for unethical marketing practices on numerous occasions.

As for the attempt at reputation control...

  • Siteadvisor will only show scan results when the site is hosting malware, therefore posting any results from the site and tool is irrelevant.

  • Webutation is junk, site owners can manipulate Webutation to create a good looking site score. No one even uses Webutation, therefore would not understand to leave bad reviews about 2-spyware.

  • Wot- It's obvious and well known that 2-spyware creates fake comments and reviews to boost their ranks on such sites, they do so on Alexa.com. Having said this, most of the reviews about 2-spyware.com on mywot.com are discussing how 2-spyware is a malicious website.

Something else the previous rebuttal did not mention, every single domain besides 2-spyware that is linked to Ugnius Kiguolis from 2-spyware has a bad review on Mywot.com. 2-files.com, etc.

Ugnius Kiguolis personal website on MYWOT.com:

Also note, it's a good thing the woman did not include her companies name in the report, etc. That does not mean she is attempting to damage the name of this already corrupt website, it means she is protecting her personal information. Don't act like spyware to damage the reputation of a legitimate report.

I have read this report and decided to leave my comment because I simply can't agree with it. For more than five years till now, I am a casual customer of 2-spyware.com because I work as an independent security researcher. For all these years when I have been visiting 2-spyware.com and searching for the newest information about cyber threats, I have never found anything malicious on this site! Besides, I have never been infected.

This site is well-ranked by such websites as MyWot, SiteAdvisor and Webutation:
http://www.mywot.com/en/scorecard/2-spyware.com
http://www.siteadvisor.com/sites/2-spyware.com
http://www.webutation.net/go/review/2-spyware.com#

I simply believe that this lady, Emaily Marie from Ukraine Internet, is trying to damage the reputation of this site. Otherwise, she would have left the name of her company and other details.
