24 hr local locksmith overcharged for service provided scottsdale az Nationwide
i locked my keys in my car recently searched online and found this company. it was about 10:30 at night.It took technician almost 30 mins to arrive, he took down my info then said it would be $120.00 to unlock car. i protested strongly, saying that was way to much. He said he could go to $100.00. I feel he took advantage of my situation. I agreed because it was late n I was tired and wanted to go home. It only took him a couple of minutes to make a crack between window n seal, then put a long coat hanger looking thing in and press the unlock button. it was unbelieveable that he could charge me that much for what he did. I called and tried to speak to someone in charge but of course at that time of night they werent there. was told someone would contact me within 24 hrs, no one has contacted me. Come to find out the address for company is in Arizona. I dont believe that is local for georgia. very unhappy with this company and would recomend NOT using them ever.

The locksmith quoted you a price of $120, you got him down to $100. Unless you were charged more than $100 you were not overcharged, you were charged exactly what you were quoted.
As for the price, in looking at the average "lockout" service it seems to run anywhere from about $75 to $350. So while yours wasn't the cheapest, it also wasn't the highest.
But just out of curriosity, since you feel $100 was too much. Just how much do you think you should have been charged?
Oh and before you ask, no I do not work for this or any other locksmith. But I do have AAA which for the yearly membership fee includes lockout assistance at NO CHARGE.
