Contract Drivers Beware: If you lease a truck from 3P you will be subject to many hidden charges during the course of the lease. You will be charged for all damage, no matter how slight. You will be charged for repairs, tires, etc. You will be charged for uniforms, any damage to cargo or customer's homes. Take photos of your leased truck when it is delivered to you. At the end they will try to charge you for damage that was on the truck prior to your lease.

Your contract can be canceled anytime 3P wants to do so. You will have no recourse. The contract reads that any dispute must be arbitrated in the State of Georgia. When the contract is canceled by 3P or you quit, they hold all money owed to you for 45 days. 3P can change the contract at will, without notification. This includes pay, work conditions, anything 3P want to change in the contract. They did this twice in the 18 months I was a Contract Driver.

Many lawsuits have been settled, or are pending against 3P by former contract drivers. 3P's past performance shows it is willing to continue doing business as if it were immune from all legal ramifications for the company's relations with their Contractors. I have been told by at least two managers, that 3P will never settle any disputes with Contractors out of court. It is apparent 3P's business model is to push the Contractor into a drawn-out court battle, hoping the Contractor or Contractor's attorney will not have the resources to continue in court.
