On 10/18-05 I ordered via internet a Motorola e-815 phone with Verizon service. It had two rebates one from Verizon directly for $50 and other from Inphonic for $150. This was predicated on the account being on good standing for over 180 days, so I waited.

When I had the required lenght of service I calle Verizon to verify the qualification and was told it was OK to send the rebate form. After several weeks I tried to get info from Inphonic and was directed to a page called "rebate status com" were I was told the "Customer Appreciation rebate" had been received and was being processed, and was instructed to check the page periodically to see when my rebate was to be mailed. They gave me a Rebate number of 063242 and a "submition ID 70466458

To my surprise, when I returned I was told there no record of such rebate, and since there is no way to get anything more from the. Iuse the "contact us" form and my request have gone unanswered. There is no phone number to call.

VERIZON is coparticipe in the InPhonic ripoff

Despite numerous calls to Verizon asking them to intervine, they refused to have anything to do with the so called "Customer Loyalty Rebate" despite the fact that to apply for it I had to be Verizon customer for six months, and thru the promotions, InPhonic was acting as a sole and direct agent of Verizon. They want to isolate them from InPhonic and Continental Promotion Group, which seems to be the outfit pulling the cords, by saying they already paid the $50 rebate the offered. They had to know what kind of dishonest operation their hire was.
