Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

My car dealer is denying that I personally placed my payments in his hand every month. the cash payments that I made for certain months are "mysterously" missing from his computer system. I was not very good at keeping my reciepts in order,(lesson learned now) therefore 2 months of my payments are missing from his system and I have no proof that I did in fact pay.

I found one of the "missing" months payment reciepts, presented it to him and he entered it into his computer system. No sorry, no explantion for why this had happened in the first place. With one of the reciepts being found, I thought for sure he would at least go through his paper copies to help me find the other "missing" payment.

Instead this car dealer just kept belittling me and insisting it was possible I missed a payment. Which infuritated me! And also means that he would not charge me a late fee or call to see if I was going to pay that month! I call bullshit. No car dealership that has been around for any given time would allow this to happen.

This car dealer is shady. He will be friendly and keep you talking for 20+ mins when you are paying him every month, then pocket your cash or whatever he is doing with it, and deny seeing you in his office every month making a payment. I didnt just pay my set payment amount each month, I was always paying at least a $100 dollars over the amount. Trying to get my car paid off early, since Im working on building my credit.

The problem now is that I am living on Maui, and I cannot trust this Oahu car dealer to actually look into his copy of the reciepts. I know he gave me one for the month I am missing which means there has to be a copy of it in his paper files. Keep all your reciepts with this guy! Keep track of how much you owe after each payment.

Another interesting fact, he quoted me over the phone a significantly higher amount that I had left on my account. Then a month later when my friend on Oahu went in to hand him my payment in person (since I cant trust him to recieve my checks via mail) the amount owed was different than what he quoted me. Shady!!!
