A-1 Leasing - USA Card Services - Startup Essentials - Bond Corporation are full of it! A-1 sent sold my file to Louisiana collection agency ripoff Grand Rapids Michigan
In an effort to supplement my income, I made the mistake of getting involved with USA Card Services (4455 LBJ Freeway Suite 501, Dallas, TX 75244) and by association, A-1 Leasing...and another company called Startup Essentials (also located in TX) who promised to help me start up an online retail business. The lease for the laptop and other materials sent to me is from a company called A-1 Leasing (2007 Eastern SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49507) While they did not promise that I would reap a great income, I was not told about all the costs associated with the business; and my phone number and information were shared with other companies who are only trying to persuade me to spend more money. The final straw is that yet another company charged my credit card without my permission. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the item, and closed that account so no other charges can occur.
While I did initially sign an agreement that they say is unbreakable, I feel that I must not allow them to take any more of my money under these circumstances. I returned the laptop computer and all of the other materials I received to Startup Essentials. I have closed the merchant account and all other accounts that A-1 or anyone else had access to.
I recently discovered that all of the companies mentioned in this letter have had complaints of fraud filed on the website, www.ripoffreport.com, and I have seen articles in AARP and other publications warning of this type of scam.
Now my file has been sent or sold to a collection agency (Coface Collections) in Louisiana who have sent me a letter demanding $10,000. My lawyer says that I signed an agreement that allows them to take me to court in Michigan, and that I should try to settle with A-1. I do not want to do this and am looking for any info on how to extricate myself. HELP!!!!!
