My husband and I had our transmission go out in a very rough spot in our lives. When we finaly were able to get a loan to get it fixed we chose AAMCO thinking it would be done correctly and move on with our lives. WRONG ANSWER. We paid the $2400 to rebuild the transmission. When we picked it up (after about the three weeks it took them to do the job) it was still not running correctly. The transmission jumps whenever it switches gears. We took it back and they said it was something different than the transmission and that they could fix it for another $150.

So we paid them and after another two weeks of hloding onto my car they said it was fixed. Again we picked the car up and it was not. We took the car back again and they said the computer needed reset. They reset it (had the car for a week) and we picked it up. When we got it, the problem persisted. We took it back and they kept it for two weeks said they looked at it and tinkered with it, and it was fixed. We got it back still it doesn't run correctly. We called and took it back they kept the car fro three weeks claiming to take the transmission out and apart to check it.

Every time we drove by the car was parked in from of the shop, we never saw the transmission out. This time when my husband picked it up it still didn't run correctly but the manager (Robert) said that it wasn't the transmission that it is the engine, and that if we bring it back he is just going to tell us the same thing. These people are so unprofessional and rude, saying a the car would be done in a specified period, never being done in that time fram. They would say they would call you and let you know how things were goin, never did. Oce the car was done for a full day and we called to check on it and they said oh someone should have called us the previous day to inform us of its status.

Twice my husband saw and heard them doin gthe same thing to different people, one gentlemen he saw in the shop while picking up our car said that this was the 5th time he had brought his car back as well, I truly can't believe this company is still open. I am trying to reach the owner (so far unsuccefully) and will be taking my car to another AAMCO with hopes that the warrenty will be upheld and I can have my car running properly. I have a three year old child who had to have a bone marrow transplant and a newborn at home so the added stress and inconvieniance I have faced was truly unappreciated.
