I understand your problem~~~~ The aamco shop (all automatics must come out) AAMCO. This is a common problem with these shops. Too few qualified techs with good understanding of the theory of operation . Parts changers at best in most shops. After your car is paid for there is little motivation to take care of future problems at their expense. At times it is best to take it to a local independent (who is always busy) than a place where it is quiet. (like a empty restaurant) Warranty repairs (intershop) are a less desirable type of business for a previously uninvolved shop. labor paid (20.00) per hour ~~~book time~~~~~parts~~~~a complete loss by the time it gets delivered back to the customer. The franchise concept is a great deal for the head office . They take 5-7% of the gross of a shop plus the monthly advertising pool fund 500.00 plus per month. So what seems to be a good feeling when you show up can quickly change as you drive away for the first time. MY ADVICE IS IF THE STORY SOUNDS FUNNY. Get a 2nd/3rd/4th opinion. Lowball prices an good expectations are not always the case~~~~~
