My name is Frank OBrien New Orleans La. My bad experience started Febuary 2002 when my

transmission went out I took my car to Aamco when Jay a former employee there told me i needed

another transmission then he gave me a price of $1733.00 which at the time we could only borrow

$1500.00 so that left a balance of $233.00 well he (jay)did let us pay the rest in monthly

installments because i did explain to him i only get a monthly disability check.

i had a remaining balance of $133.00 when I called on november 12,2002 to tell them my

transmission had went out again.this time a talked to pete.on nov.14 i called pete to find out

what they discovered this was about 10:00-10:30 a.m.he told me they were going to bring my car in

the garage in 20 minutes and one of the mechanics told him that the torque converter was possibly

bad.

passed the garage an hour an a half later car was still parked in the same spot.nov.15 they

finally moved my car inside the garage.nov.16 went to the aamco garage.pete told me they had

shipped my transmission unit to hammond la.to the aamco there i asked why.he told me so that crew

can work on it there.nov 17,18,the same story then finally on the evening of the 18 he told me

that the hammond shop told them they have to give me another unit because that one was torn-up

don't know what that meant.

also told me that another unit was being shipped back here to new orleans from a warehouse.he

never told me what was the name of this warehouse.this was on november 20,21.now here it is

nov.22 called pete at 12:00 p.m.he told me they brought the wrong transmission and to call back

in 30 minutes.then about 1:30p.m on the same day (nov 22)he told me the one that's needed for my

car could not get there until monday nov.25 i asked him is it possible if i can talk to these

people he told me no..

he hasn't given a straight answer yet and i still don't have my car. this is our only means of

transportation. we rely solely on this vehicle and 2 weeks is a long time when they originally

said they would have the car ready in a week.

the price we have paid for this transmission and the warranty that the company supposibly are

honoring. i would have thought we would have taken presidant over all others. we are being

treated as slackers and the less important.
