AAMCO R AND L Transmissions INC. Completely rip off Hollywood , Florida
This place is totally a rip off. In February 15, 2010 My 2003 volkswagon passat when in for repairs on the transmission. I was told that i need to replace my transmission. I agreed for a used transmission with the General Manager Mike Gillette with transmission parts and labor the total invoice came up to $3,582.80 Paid the amount in full picked up the car the mileage odometer read at 116509k. 8 months down the road and mileage odometer reading at 118863k to be exact AGAIN transmission problems i take my car back to AAMCO R AND L TRANSMISSION INC only to be told by Mike that they only cover for 6 months and that it was a used transmission. I explained to him that the car has only been driven 2k miles. Still nothing. I was told by an experience mechanic from the another AAMCO location that all transmission are and can be rebuilt. The reason i was told to get a new one is because is more convinient to them to just take the old one out and place a new one. I called Cooperate only to be told by another Michael that i need to take the car back to them. I explained to michael that i am willing to take the car to another AAMCO location but not that one Michael refused to help out and hung the phone on me. MY recommendation do not take your car to this place is horrible and is nothing but a ripoff

Finally some honest mechanics. Took my car to another shop that do work on transmission spoke with a guy name David Perez (really honest guy) told me exactly what was wrong with my car. Apparently this so called AAMCO R AND L TRANSMISSION INC EVEN MESSED UP THE OXYGEN SENSORS ON THE CAR and when he saw the bill for $3,582.80 for a used transmission that only had 6 month of warranty he agreed that i was ripped off. David explained to me in detail what was wrong and in a matter of 2 days finally got my car back. and it only cost me $145 to replace my speed sensor. He also told me to go online and look up the fluids for a transmission because it defently does not cost no $200 like AAMCO R AND L CHARGED ME. Not to mention over the weekend i got a called from this so called R AND L TRANSMISSION INC AAMCO they wanted me to remove this add and take the car back to them. YEAH SURE!
