In response to your complaint, it does not matter that you are the owner of this 1985 Trans Am. Your son authorized the repair of this transmission with his signature! You are very fortunate that they gave your vehicle back to you for the original $289.00 fee. In most cases, a repair facility will not go back and undo their work with proper authorization recorded. Instead of fighting with the repair shop that your son gave the go-ahead to fix the transmission, you should have investigated the need for all these repairs first! Find out exactly why it cost that much. If their recommendation cannot be validated, then accuse them of deceptive trade practices. In the end, you thought you got ripped off, and you did. When you paid the shop $289.00 for no corrective services performed. Basically, money for nothing. That money could have gone towards the repair, but its too late for that now! Finally, were you able to get this transmission rebuilt for the alleged $635.00. In my opinion, that is pretty d**n cheap! I mean we are talking far less than half of what AAMCO quoted originally. Don't get me wrong. I have no quarrel with those who carry the "cheapest" price. They know better than anyone else what their product is worth.

Well i got my car back. But I was informed by Dave(David) the rep that i can only pay in cash or cashiers check. Now they think I going to rip-them off. Please give me a break. This is the first place that I've been to, that when you pay they put the money in there pocket. When I walked in to pay Dave ask me to sit down and talk. I asked him if he was going to lower the price? Well he said no. So i told him to let me pay and get my car I have nothing to say to him. Then he called the owner to release my car. Whats up with that, They screwed me with the job, I pay in cash, and then I have to get the Manager to say its OK for me to have my car. As I waited for my car the manager came in and didn't say a word to me. Oh the home office called me and said the bill stands so don't call them they don't care. To be fair I did check the internet for our Transmission company's and AAMCO was the leader in rip-off's. I still need help [email protected]
