I rented a big screen television in 2005 and in 2006 rented a washer and dryer. Well I was up to date on my payments in Jan 2007 but due to certain reasons I was unable to afford. Called Aaron's to pick up property on my off day and they were unable to to well we finally agreed on a time and I was at home at the time they were suppose to pick up never showed .Well I called to see what was the hold up and I was told they came a few hours eariler. Well anyway I asked why would do that and we agreed on a time. Well they told me they would enter my home if I was not there I told them try it .
They said they will call the police because I did not want to return property I didn't have a problem with returning it but if we schedule a time I except that time or a call saying differently. Anyway Sept 2007 I receive a letter in the mail saying I missed court I called the court and made them aware that I never received anything about court. The court made a new date I appeared that time letting the judge know never receive anything about court until I received that letter saying I missed court. He said I was summoned. I asked for the name and date and time I was supposely summons because that should have it on the summons while no time or date was on the summons. Judge said person responsible will be in trouble.
Well we had a second date in court now Aaron's claimed I never returned the merchandise but then said oh yes I did but was damaged. Well I disputed all that because it was nothing damaged. Property was returned in Feb 2007 Well Aaron's said I did not return on the set-up time it was their fault they came early. Now they are trying to charge me 4953.74 for property they have . I called several of the locations and asked if damage was supposely done would I received something everyone I spoke with said yes.
Well the Aaron's is saying because they lost money to file a lawsuit. And now trying to garnish wages . Well I will be damned if they get one penny from me because I returned property and if they even think I will pay that think again or they will wheel that television and washer/dryer back. So beware because they are a rip off company. They lie and I pulled up company on internet and I see they are trying to do the same thing to several other people.
