Pete, who is the manager at the Marietta location used my check information on file and ran a check without my authorization.

Pete's excuse for this was because my payment was due on October 1, 2004 and I have not called to let them know when I was coming in he decided upon himself to run my check.

Pete also compared this indecent behvior to not paying an electric bill he said "If you don't pay Georgia Power, what will they do"

I replied they will probably turn my electricity off but they won't steal out of my account.

I advised him that due to him taking money from my account, my account has went -negative.

The only thing he said was "I am sorry for the inconvenience"

I want my money back!!!! I can pay on my own not by Stealing!!!!

They had no right to do such a thing. That is no different if someone took a check from "Pete's checkbook and cashed it without his authorization.

Key word in your rebuttal is EX Double Diamond, Probably for a reason. Stores can only run e-checks if the information is provided to them off the check itself, even then we must hang on to the physical check in case telecheck requires further confrimation. CCA are kept on Credit cards and debit cards and are run automatically after the account is 14 days or more past due. Also, the customer is obligated to contact the store for payment arrangements if they are unable to make their payment on or by the due date. If the customer is treated rudely then they must contact the regional manager whose job it is to keep the customer satisfied.

I work here in Georgia and we do not take electronic checks. We take debit, paper check and credit card. The only payment we take electronicly is any cards with the Visa, Master or or American Express logo on it. Call any of the stores in this division and ask if they can take electronic checks.

aarons does take electronic checks via the phone. they even go as far as to have you provide a copy and or authorization on their pre-printed authorization sheet. the catch here is that if they have no physical check to accompany the authorization, its not valid in the coporate offices eyes. WARNING to aaron employees, dont lie to customers because if it ends up on this website, i will EXPOSE your lies..................... To the effected party, call the c-office 678-402-3000 and ask to speak to the divisional VP for your state. If that doesn't work, leave a message for Charlie Loudermilk, the founder of AArons.

Aarons often ask for post dated checks to insure the customer pays the bill. We do and can not do electronic checking! The only way we run a check is if you wright it out to us. If the check would have been wrote for a date and deposited before that date there is your answer. They only legaly could have cashed a check if it was for a current date. Joe
